COVID-19 update 07/03/21 - we have restarted 'socially-distanced' face-to-face counselling sessions from our COVID-compliant meeting rooms.

Alternatively, we can still provide online counselling sessions (Skype, Zoom, etc.) for anyone who is still self-isolating. See our suggestions for  ‘helping your relationship survive isolation’  and how online sessions can be organised

We are independent, Relate-trained counsellors, providing relationship and couples counselling in central Harrogate.

We can provide help to individuals and couples to improve their relationships, whether you are in a marriage, part of a couple, single, separating or divorced. A counsellor can also help if you are struggling with other relationships such as parents, friends, or family.

The COVID-19 'lock-down' may have highlighted existing issues in your relationships that you could have easily 'papered over', or simply ignored, during normal circumstances. You may be looking at our website because you are unhappy, concerned, frustrated or angry and you want some help and support - typical issues are often around:

- feeling of ‘growing apart’
- affairs
- sex and intimacy
- parenting and family dynamics
- relationships from the past
- bereavement
- physical and mental health

During counselling, individuals or couples are helped to talk openly and honestly and to think through an issue, or to work through a problem. The counsellor is trained to help people to understand themselves better and to help them make their own decisions about what to do next.
…what happens in counselling
We are fully qualified counsellors, experienced in working with both individuals and couples and specialising in relationship issues. We trained at the Relate Institute and are members of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) – we are professionally qualified, undertake regular supervision and CPD training and work to recognised standards.
